The VARI-LITE VL4000 SPOT is high-powered luminaire capable of impressive midair beam effects, making it well suited for designers, rental companies, venues and productions with a complement of fixtures, and offering unlimited design possibilities.
The high-resolution optics ensure remarkable center-to-edge focusing and contrast ratio. The 5:1 zoom offers a wide 9 to 47° beam angle without sacrificing output or clarity. Producing 33,000 lumens in standard mode (and 25,000 lumens in studio mode), the VL4000 SPOT uses a 1200W Philips MSR Gold FastFit lamp to provide a robust output, while the Infinity CMY crossfading system provides a wide pallet of colors, thanks to the two fixed color wheels, offering five postions each.
Other notable features include variable CTO color-temperature correction, two gobo wheels (with 7 rotatable, indexable positions + open), and a 3-facet prism with divergence control. Also included are dual coated glass dimmer flags, dual blade strobe system, variable frost, and two animation wheels with rotating indexable patterns and variable motion control. The VL4000 can be controlled via RDM and DMX protocols with two DMX channel modes (52 or 57). The VARI-LITE VL4000 SPOT ships with the lamp, Neutrik powerCON AC input connector, and two truss hook brackets.
