Kodak RODMFS50 Reviews

What are these friggin' reviewers expecting???

It's $35. the transfers look wildly better than what I had anticipated. If you can't make this work with a decent smart phone, then bless you, and good luck with the rest of your life. If you want studio quality, then I guess you shouldn't even be considering this... but my old pics from the 80s and 90s look AWESOME with this.

the hole of the top of the Kodak device is TOO small for my iphone 12 that has two cameras. The iphone 12 will NOT lay flat.

Bought this partly out of curiosity...

I do actually use it, but not in the intended capacity. Let's face it, smartphone scans of negatives are basically rubbish. This is no exception. So, I use it as a small light table, without the top attachment, and use a mirrorless camera with tripod and macro lens to scan negatives. In that capacity, it works great! But, the price point for what you get is ridiculous. This should be around $15-20 dollars, and even then all involved would make a good profit. (And, they would probably push far more volume.) Such is the photography industry!
