The Scout Pro can deliver optical magnifications of up to 600x with digital magnifications of up to 5x, providing you with 4032x3024 resolution still images and 1920x1280 video resolutions—allowing detailed views to be shown on large screens without loss of clarity or pixellation. You can choose to connect the microscope to a computer via the included USB cable or you can observe your specimen on the built-in 4" LCD screen, and you are able to wirelessly control the different functions from an IR remote.
The working distance is adjustable, so you can view rocks, gems, textiles, circuit boards, and other irregular objects, or you can place the separate stage block on the base and view slides and enjoy bottom transmitted illumination from an integrated LED. The LED has a dimmer located on the power/control cable, so you can ensure live specimens won't get heated and damaged. A simple focusing collar ensures your specimens are tack sharp. To get you started right out of the box, the Scout Pro comes with six prepared slides, and each slide has four specimens on a variety of subjects from roots and stems to a microscopic creature to hairs and fibers.
