Bought this lens for a new Axis M 1125 camera. My goal was to focus tight on a single object, 40 feet away, so depth of field was not an issue. The clarity of the image is excellent for a lens in this price range. If I had the option, a higher end camera with remote zoom and auto focus would be sweet...but for this budget priced combo, I'm delighted. Shout out to the BHP rep who guided me to put this order together. I explained my requirements & he took hs time to make sure all items of the total system were compatible. I'll order more CCTV cams here in future.

question

Is the iris closed when there is no DC supplied to the lens?
Asked by: Hongfei C.
The IRIS is usually closed. When power is supplied via the DC cable connected to the camera, the IRIS will open. If you do not want an auto IRIS, I would recommend looking at a manual IRIS lens.

question

Will this lens perform on an Axis M1125 security camera? Veing a single static subject, 40 feet away, maybe covering 6 feet wide subject?
Asked by: george l.
Yes you can use this lens with the camera. As for your other questions, you will need to set the lens at around 30mm to get your 6'width.

question

Is this a network Camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
This is not a camera. This is a lens that mounts to a camera and is independent of the surveillance camera that is purchased. It has a threaded mount that is compatible with various surveillance camera formats. This unit has the standard iris connection for supported surveillance cameras, you should be able to select a camera that will meet your requirements whether IP or other format. Note that this camera is an excellent performer in the near IR range for surveillance, and will support cameras with imagers of 1/2.7 or smaller without falloff. You should understand the field of view relative to the focal length and imager size when purchasing for your application. the 3MP resolution support should support resolutions at the standard HD resolution of 1920x1080 and beyond.
