More than just a simple remote trigger, the Unleashed 18 N1 Smartphone DSLR Remote by Foolography provides full control over your camera from your smartphone. Remotely change aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, exposure compensation, and more. Trigger your camera from up to 130 feet away using your smartphone's Bluetooth signal, then receive a postview thumbnail to make sure you're getting the shot or need to fine-tune your exposure on the fly. Program interval shooting with up to 1 hour between exposures for dynamic time-lapse videos; the unique exposure ramping feature can adjust the camera settings for consistent exposure as brightness changes over time. Program exposures up to 4.6 hours long for stunning star trails and other long-exposure applications. The Unleashed Remote can also start and stop video recording and can operate up to six cameras simultaneously. The integrated geotagging feature records your location anywhere on earth so you will always know exactly where you got that shot. Remarkably, with all the features the Unleashed Remote has to offer, it is so compact you can plug it into your camera and forget about it. Its slim profile is due in part to its lack of batteries—it sips power from the camera battery when needed, so you never need to worry about it running out of juice at a remote location.

Foolography Unleashed N1 Reviews
Brilliant add to my D500
First of all, bravo! Finally, a remote I can love. It is tiny; hardly noticeable on the camera. And it is powered by the camera so I don't have to worry about batteries. Time will tell how much it impacts my camera battery life, but so far so good. But there are two comments I have at this point: 1) What is the USB cable for? The remote is powered by the 10-pin connector as best I can tell. And the USB cord provided is incompatible with the D500 ports so it isn't useful to me anyway. 2) I don't get any image preview on my Galaxy S21 FE. This is a huge bummer. I don't know if that has anything to do with the USB cable question. I can't see any other options that could be causing this. I'd love help with this if anyone knows. This is really the reason for the 4 stars; otherwise it would be a 5.
Best Remote
Far better than a corded release.
Unleashed
I was able to pair this to the cell phone almost immediately. You do need to have the Unleashed app on your phone and open prior to pairing. As soon as you plug the transmitter into the camera and connect, the transmitter will begin to flash red and if Bluetooth is cut on in the phone you will see camera number appear on the phone. Once paired you can then access camera functions including white balance on your phone with out having to use buttons or menu. I attached this to my Nikon D850 and I liked it so well I purchased one for my D7100. I will also put one on my Z7 when back in stock. You can also set time lapse.
