The Summit Photo Backpack, Model 777, is the medium backpack made of the Extreme Series materials; waterproofed, urethane-coated fabrics of the utmost strength. A layer of ABS plastic is found beneath the foam padded bottom for protection from carelessly plopping the pack on the ground. Model 777 is the same width and depth as the Model 787 but it is several inches shorter. It was created at the request of photographers who required a full-featured expedition photo backpack but felt that the 787 was a bit too large for their needs. The 777 will easily accommodate a combination of two 35mm SLR cameras, one with a very long lens attached, or two medium format cameras and a lot of cameras and a lot of lenses and equipment.
The 777 has the same features as the model 787 including M.A.S. and S.A.S. attachment slots, LockDown Rain Flaps and the Nexus Adjustment Wedge to adjust the harness system for a personal fit. The soft contoured harness spreads the weight across your shoulders. A waist strap and sternum strap further secure your rig. D-rings on the shoulder harness accept the N-11 strap to support a camera with the pack, rather than the photographer's neck.
