I Have Some Issues With One Hand, So I Wear My DSLR On A Binocular Harness. While It Is Ideal For Hiking And Excellent Weight Distribution, Even With A 70-200 GM Lens, It Is A Hindrance When It Comes To A Camera Raincoat. Every “raincoat” I’ve Tried Does Not Accommodate The Binocular Harness And Does Not Really Offer Protection For The Lens. The Ruggard’s Various Openings Eliminated These Issues. The Lens Hood Fits Securely And Has No Gaps. The Hand Muffs Are The Best Thing I Have Discovered To Keep My Always Cold Hands Warmer Than Gloves. The Zipper And Flap On The Bottom And Top Of The Parka Are Superb And Do Not Affect My Ability To Use And Adjust The Camera.

From our experiences and reported customer reviews, it works best on medium/larger DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. The main factor for comfort and utility would be the overall size of the lens. Smaller ones on a mirrorless system might make the user feel like the camera is engulfed in the DSLR Parka.

This is made to retain heat on the camera in colder conditions. Since the surface is black, the heat will be absorb in bright sunlight and warmer conditions, which could damage the camera.
