My Paper of Choice

Big fan of the Lasal 300. It prints beautifully on my Epson P800. Handles B&W, Color and anything in between. I use it for any print that will be framed, as I prefer a thicker paper for non-framed prints.

This has always been my go to paper for proof print, snap shots, and give aways. It is economical and has good tone and color.

Use several types of MOAB paper and haven't found one I don't like! Have printed 30 sheets allready and like to experiment with other paper types (same print) to find the difference in paper choice - MOAB good printing paper for me!

My favorite paper

The Lansil Exhibition paper reveals deep blacks better than their other product lines, and better than the Canon papers I've used. What I mean is, you can see detail in the blacks as low as 4 out of 255. Most other papers that I've used, even the Byrta lose detail below 8 - 10. As a result, black point compensation is not as aggressive and your print will look almost indistinguishable from what is on your monitor.

Like this paper a lot.

What is the surface like on this reverse side of this paper? Can you inkjet print text or write with a ballpoint pen?
Asked by: William
The Moab Lasal Exhibition Luster 300 Paper (4 x 6") 50 Sheets BH #MOLEL4650 is single sided and not coated for Inkjet on the back so you would not be able to print on it but could write with a felt tip pen.

Does this paper contain optical brightening agents?
Asked by: Max
For purists, only natural fine art paper that say they don't have optical brighteners, like Canson who have been in business for over 500 years making paper. Although though Moab paper doesn't say anything on their website, brighteners might be present in small quantities.

question

Anyone using this with an Epson P800? How does it compare to Epson Luster?
Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, The Moab Exhibition Luster is a bit heavier than the Epson. It also has a reduced 'specular' quality to the surface. By this I mean the Epson luster appears to shimmer when light hits it from various angles. The Moab luster does not have this effect and is more uniform under various lighting environments.
