GoPro ASBHM-002 Reviews
Stongly built
Whatever the GoPro 9's merits, it's extremely awkward to use handheld (my fingertips kept getting in the frame) or with the the adapter at bottom. The extension pole is strongly built, easy to use, and has a lightweight tripod built in. A bit pricy but worth it.
Essential for GoPro
This is the good stuff. Very functional. Excellent quality. If you do anything with a GoPro Hero or Max just get it. Not one of the cheap knockoffs.
Ideal for GoPro MAX except for handling noise
On the whole this is a fantastically useful addition to the GoPro MAX. You can use it as a simple hand-grip, or extend it about a meter to get the max up above your head or out in front of you. Because the mount is aligned with the axis of the pole and tripod feet it pretty much disappears into the stitch line. Even if you use it as a tripod, although it is visible in the image, it is not at all distracting. The pole extends easily and locks with a quarter turn, so it is very quick and efficient to operate. Unfortunately, the one big flaw is that the hard plastic conveys vibrations to the camera, so if you aren't careful you can get a lot of handling noise. The aluminum monopod I had been using prior to getting the GoPro Grip Extension Pole did not have this problem, so I guess I'm still in search of the perfect mount for the MAX.
