This is a shotgun style mic, giving you a cardioid polar pattern that is better suited toward camera-mounted recording, as it emphasizes what's in front of the character by minimizing audio coming in from the sides. This condenser microphone relies on power from your phone or camera, requiring no batteries. It offers a 35 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response, which is suitable for capturing audio for most viewable media.
Included with this microphone are a furry windscreen (for use in the windy outdoors) as well as a soft case for storing the mic. For DSLR cameras, camcorders, and recorders, a 3.5mm TRS cable is included. For smartphones, tablets, and apple products, a 3.5mm TRRS cable is provided.
