It helps quite a bit with handling noise. My complaint is the shoe is really thick and doesn't fit in some camera shoes. I was able to replace it with a thinner one as it mounts to the Movo with a standard 3/8 -16 threaded mount. The fact that it has a 3/8 - 16 thread at the bottom that the shoe scratches to is a nice bonus that is mentioned nowhere in the product description.
Really helps eliminate handling noise and those accidental bumps if the mic is mounted directly to the top of your camera. Worth the $$.
