The DS-28 Lightweight Camera Microphone with Cold Shoe Mount from E-Image is an electret condenser microphone with a hypercardioid polar pattern that offers a wide and smooth frequency response and high sensitivity. This mic is compact and lightweight and can be used for DSLRs, camcorders, and all types of portable cameras and recording equipment.
The DS-28 microphone is powered by a CR2, 3V button-type battery (sold separately) and built with a frequency response of 40 Hz to 16 kHz. The microphone is equipped with a roll-off switch and an integrated coiled cable that terminates with a 3.5mm mini-jack connector.
