IOGEAR GUS4C2 Overview

The IOGEAR 2-Port USB Type-C Keyboard/Mouse/Peripheral Switch with Power Delivery 3.0 is designed to give you the ability to control two different computers or mobile devices with a single keyboard and mouse, and easily share files between them. Simply hook up your computer, laptop, or tablet to the back of the switch with the included USB Type-C cables to get started. Once connected, you can use the front four USB ports for your peripherals.

The front of the switch provides three USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 2 and one USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 connections. In addition to a keyboard and mouse for control, you can connect external hard drives and USB sticks to share files between systems. Built-in Beyond OS software provides additional file sharing capabilities between a Mac and PC device the two connected devices, regardless of their type.

With Beyond OS, you don't need a network connection or have to bother with cumbersome USB sticks to transfer files between a Mac and PC. This built-in software is platform-agnostic, giving you the ability to simply drag-and-drop files between the two connected devices,

Help Overcome Dell Monitor Limitations

I use this USB switch to share a single upstream USB port on my Dell monitor with two different computers (one Mac, one not). The remote allowed me to tape this unit to the back of my desk with just the lights peeping out (so I can see which machine is selected) and keep just the little remote button on my desk. One thing I would change is get rid of the auto-select feature. It causes the switch to change between input sources when I power on or reboot a machine.

This works great with my 2 Mac setup. It switches my Keyboard/Mouse seamlessly between them. I even have an external USB-C audio device that switches between them without any issues. There is a slight delay between switching, but expected for these types of products.

No. Per IOGear's website, "The IOGEAR Access Pro 2-Port Keyboard, Mouse & Peripheral Switch lets you share a keyboard and mouse as well as other USB peripherals and instantly switch between two USB-C-equipped laptops or desktops with the push of a button."

Sorry I wasn't clearer earlier. Many new monitors can connect through USB-C (and some through Thunderbolt, which looks exactly like and is backward compatible with USB-C). My question is not whether this switch has HDMI or some such (no, it doesn't), but: Does it support video via USB-C? I would expect it to, but since it lists lots of other things but not that, it's not clear.

This would be a USB Type-C Peripheral Switch for Keyboard/Mouse with power delivery. A KVM switch would be required to do a video signal.
