Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker III Overview

Building upon the success of the Voice Tracker I, the Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker III Array is a high-performance array microphone well suited for a variety of applications including lecture and meeting recording, VoIP, video conferencing, and distance learning. The latest enhancements are based on the proven technology of the Voice Tracker 1, but with 2 dB better signal-to-noise, and a flatter frequency response for a brighter and more uniform sound quality.

The mountable microphone works well at distances up to 35' and offers a highly accurate full vocabulary ASR at 4 to 5'. With eight mic elements and 360° coverage, the Voice Tracker III utilizes a single self-scanning listening beam, which automatically and electronically steers to the active talking, minimizing required setup. Highly advanced spatial filtering and noise reduction also help mitigate issues plagued by other systems. The Voice Tracker III includes a ceiling/wall mount, a 6' male-to-male audio cable, and a power supply.

  • Single, self-scanning listening beam automatically and electronically steers to the active talker, minimizing required setup
  • 360° field of view, but more sensitive from the front
  • Two-stage noise reduction (spatial filtering and noise reduction processing)
  • Eight element, 22" array for maximum range
  • Five element LED display to indicate location of chosen talker
  • Ceiling/wall mount and power converter from 120 VAC to 6 VDC included

Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker III Reviews

Better than expected

The other reviews and videos about this product gave me a bias on what is expected. I used this in a classroom environment and gave it much thought before purchasing. Once i received it and opened the package, the cables didn't look too new and didn't have enough length. When I plugged in the mini audio cable, the port gave way, but didn't break, I felt that this product wasn't good enough. Once I had the device connected, it is necessary to fine tune it to get optimal results. This took a about half a day. Once that was done, it didn't take long to realize the device functioned as expected. It had great pick up depth, the receiving end thought that the incoming sound is great. Now, the next thing would be to use this in a larger classroom.

How far away does Voice Tracker 3 have to be away from PC speakers?
Asked by: Final Expense
If you are trying to avoid feedback, the computer will not play the audio from the Voicetracker through your speakers so it shouldn't be much of a problem. If problems do occur try lowing the volume of the speakers and turning them away from the mic.

I'm thinking about using one of these on the pulpit at our church, we have many people that speak from very short to very tall?
Asked by: John
The Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker III Array Microphone can capture speech from up to 35 feet away. It would have no problem picking up speech from persons that are very short or very tall.
