Meike 85mm f/1.8 Lens for Sony E
Key Features
  • E-Mount Lens/Full-Frame Format
  • Aperture Range: f/1.8 to f/22
  • One Extra-Low Dispersion Element
  • Multi-Layer Nano Coating
A bright short-telephoto prime, the Sony E-mount Meike 85mm f/1.8 is well-suited for portraiture and other subjects requiring a slightly longer-than-normal focal length. The f/1.8 maximum aperture offers greater control over depth of field, for isolating subject matter, and also benefits working in difficult lighting conditions. The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element, which reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to realize high clarity and accurate color rendering. A multi-layer nano coating also minimizes ghosting and flare for improved contrast when working in bright conditions. This manual focus lens provides a 2.8' minimum focusing distance and an integrated distance scale aids in pre-focusing. Additionally, electronic contacts relay Exif data from the lens to the camera and also permit camera-based aperture adjustment.

Meike 85mm f/1.8 MF Overview

Portrait-length prime is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length.
Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light situations and also complements working with shallow depth of field techniques.
One extra-low dispersion element suppresses chromatic aberrations and chromatic aberrations throughout the aperture range for greater clarity and color fidelity.
Multi-layer nano coating reduces flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Manual focus design affords a 2.8' minimum focusing distance.
Electronic contacts retain Exif data transference and enable camera-based aperture adjustment.
