Unique to Yamaha and the VL70M 1/2-space rackmount module is VA Synthesis, a computer-based "physical modeling" technology, that accurately simulates the complex vibrations, resonances, reflections and other acoustic phenomena that occur in real wind or string instruments. By triggering the VL70M from a keyboard, MIDI Wind or Breath controller, or a MIDI Guitar converter, emulations of acoustic instruments can be very realistically rendered.
