Lenovo Smart Display 7 Overview

Enjoy all the functionality of the Google Assistant and a 7" touchscreen with the blizzard white Lenovo 7" Smart Display. It is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity to browse online content, control your compatible smart home devices, and connect with other local Google Assistant-equipped devices. You can make and receive video calls with its built-in, front-facing 2MP camera and the onboard dual-microphone array. Hi Danny. Currently the Lenovo Smart Display 7” with Google Assistant does not support Face Match. It does, however, support Voice Match!

Hi Jason, The Lenovo Smart Display 7" uses Google Duo to make video calls to any smartphone/tablet that has the Google Duo App installed. Currently it does not allow for the downloading of 3rd party Apps.

Please try these steps one by one on the Lenovo Smart Display 7 (Blizzard White) until the WiFi issue is resolved. Make sure to link the Device with the same WIFI connection as the mobile device. Please check whether WIFI works correctly by using another device to link with the same WIFI. Please try to reboot the Device. • Unplug your Smart Display for 1 minute. • Plug your Smart Display back in. • Then check it again. Please reset the Device (Long press VOL+ and VOL- 8 Seconds). Please find your router’s manufacturer and model. • Check with the manufacturer to find out if your router model has Smart Connect. • If your router has Smart Connect, check with the manufacturer for steps on how to turn off Smart Connect. • Then try it again

Is it possible to awaken it by any command other than "hey (OK), Google?" Doing that awakens it AND my phone so I get dueling responses.

Since the Lenovo 7 Inch Smart Display uses Google Assistant, the voice command wake-up key words are OK or Hey Google.

I have one and may return it. I set mine up with ...

I have one and may return it. I set mine up with the large Flip Clock face so I could see it at night without glasses. But when I turn off the lights, the clock changes to a tiny clock and the display dims and is impossible to see. If I turn the lights back on, the large Flip Clock display comes back. I can’t find a way in the app or on the device to keep it on the Large Flip Clock display (the dimming the display when the lights go out is fine). Otherwise, It works great, integrates easily and perfectly into my Google Assistant/Chromecast ecosystem, but the automatic and useless "stick of chewing gum" size clock on the 7” display is a non-starter unless there is a setting somewhere someone can tell me about?

Hi Carlo, try adjusting the screen brightness by swiping up on the device. You can also set “Auto Brightness” to let your Lenovo Smart Display adjust your settings automatically. With the current software version when you turn off your lights the display will dim and show a full screen clock that is like the flip style clock.
