- Short 1.5mm Optical Distance
- Standard M42x0.75mm Thread
Specifically designed with a minimal optical distance for close back-focus applications, the Explore Scientific Short Light Path T2 Ring Camera Adapter has a light path of just 1.5mm compared to standard T2 rings that are typically between 11 and 12mm—making this ring ideal when every millimeter matters to reach the correct focus. Its standard M42x0.75mm thread is compatible with most common astrophotography rings, adapters, extensions, and other components and is used to directly and securely attach your Canon EOS DSLR camera to your telescope. It is specifically designed to match the camera's bayonet lens mount. To provide the strength required for imaging with today's DSLRs, Explore Scientific opted to use a strong and stiff stainless steel instead of the aluminum that is normally used on standard rings.
