Is the Vinten Flowtech 100 bowl exactly the same ...
Is the Vinten Flowtech 100 bowl exactly the same as the other branded flowtechs? I have a vinten vision 100 and the half bowl is slightly smaller than other brand 100mm bowls. The head isn't compatible with many legs that have a slightly wider bowl. Are Sachtler or Oconnor branded Flowtech 100s compatible with Vinten heads?
There used to be a bowl adaptor you could use with Vinten heads so they would fit on other manufacturers legs. Not sure if its still available. I kept mine

Yes, the Sachtler aktiv8T Touch & Go Fluid Head with SpeedLevel & 7-Step Drag for Sachtler Tripods (75mm) can be used with the Vinten flowtech 100 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Rubber Feet but it must have the Sachtler 75/100 aktiv Adapter
to adapt the 75mm half ball to 100mm.
