Nanuk 945 Overview

Store, protect, and transport your valuable photo, electronic, or other gear with the waterproof and dustproof yellow 945 Case with Dividers and Lid Organizer from NANUK. The case features a removable padded insert with touch-fastening dividers and an organizer for the inner lid. PowerClaw latches and holes for optional user-supplied padlocks provide secure closure. Automatic pressure valve guards against the vacuum caused by changes in altitude and geographic location that tend to seal watertight cases shut
Pressure valve equalizes atmospheric pressure using micro vents which allow air to pass through, but prevent water from getting inside
Waterproof custom-fit gasket, or seal, is made from high-quality EPDM rubber and resists deformation and fatigue
NK-7 resin is UV-resistant to protect against discoloration and material degradation
Molded-in bezel system includes detailing on the lower portion of the case for installing a panel kit without using a secondary bracket or drilling holes in the side of the case
Bezel system accommodates an optional Waterproof Case Panel Kit or mounted electronic, measurement, or test equipment to use the case as an independent mobile test or control unit
Integrated lid stay prevents the lid from closing while you access your gear
Grooves on the front interlock with built-in feet at the base when stacking multiple cases of the same size, which saves space for transport

question

Can you keep the propellers on and close the case? Also with the Phantom 4 Pro which is slightly higher than Ph4 and Ph3. Can it fit a CrystalSky 5.5 and battery?
Asked by: Raf W.
I have closed the case with the propellers on and it seems to fit fine. However, I worry about possible deflection of the props if stored for a while, and the props are so easy to take off and put on with just a quarter turn, that I just prefer to always take them off.I'm not sure about the crystal sky, but the case has plenty of extra room to carve out foam to make additional items fit. Also, there is a pre-cut plug of foam adjacent to the opening for the controller that would appear to give about 3 inches more space for the monitor. My monitor is 3.25 inches tall and I think Crystal Sky is 5.25 inches? so there would be plenty of room. The case is extremely well made. I think it could drop down a staircase and protect the drone and accessories!

question

Will the Crystal Sky 7.85 display fit in this case too?
Asked by: Benjamin
You have to make the slot for the iPad a little larger. It was a simple fix.

question

Is this case sized to be used as a carry on bag on an airplane?
Asked by: Rodney L G.
Definitely not. In fact the case is bulky and fairly heavy. Provides great if not excessive protection. I would look for a case closer in size and design to the case the phantom came in.

question

Is this small enough to qualify as a carry-on item for the TSA? Or would they make you check it.
Asked by: Anonymous
There is no way you can bring this on the plane and get in the overhead storage. I handles like a medium to large suitcase. I have the DJI backpack, which I never used if you'd like purchase it. That would definitely qualify as a carry-on.

question

I'm guessing a Phantom 4 would fit in here. Has anyone tried it? It looks like the the top two holes would hold the new batteries. Also, can you safely store extra props in the section that is pictured holding the prop guards?
Asked by: Dan V.
this case will hold all your extra props and batteries.
