The professional-grade Cullmann Titan CT 300 is a specialist of a tripod-perfectly created for those who need absolute strength, speedy height adjustment and an all-weather design in a tripod that's fairly tall. It is perfectly at home in a studio environment with heavy camera setups, but also can be used in inclement conditions without fanfare. Every tripod compromises some skills for advantages in other facets, and the weaknesses of the Titan CT 300 are its weight, collapsed length, maximum height and lack of a standard-issue center column (though available optionally). The Titan CT 300 features 2-segment legs (35/41mm) which extend to a very respectable 52.4" (133 cm) working height.
There's not a lot of gimmicks here; it is just terribly robust, unflinchingly solid. The lower leg segments are thicker than the upper ones, which of course adds significantly to the stability. The Titan's hollow, trapezoidal leg design makes for a legset that is terribly resistant to twisting, with a sealed bottom to use in sand, snow, water or the like. Working with the Titan is a joy, because adjustments to the legs can be done without your eyes leaving the camera.
