Pearl is misleading

This has more of a matte finish. If you've darkroom printed on pearl paper before you'll be expecting a bit of soft gloss which this lacks.

I have some 4x6 smooth pearl paper. Kind of a matt finish. And it's great paper. I thought this was same smooth pearl. It is not. It's more like what you would find on a xmas photo card. More sturdy than photo paper. But more of a card stock finish. For framing photos I wouldn't choose this finish.

What is the major difference(s) between this paper and the Fine Art, with apparently the same Smooth Pearl finish?
Yes, they both have a fine art pearl finish. But the fine art paper is an alpha cellulose paper and the non-fine art is a resin coated paper. Typically, the former is used in fine art printing, the latter is used in non-fine art printing.
