Tilta PowerGrip Handle with Trigger Overview

Pair the versatile Tiltaing Side Focus Handle Type III from Tilta with a Nucleus Nano motor for fingertip focus control and with a separately available Nucleus Nano R/S cable for a record start/stop button with compatible cameras. Powered by a separately available Sony NP-F970 L-series type battery, this Tilta gray handle slides onto the base of a half or full Tiltaing camera cage.

This cage component features a knurled focus wheel, an 8V micro-USB output, a 12V barrel output, and a rubberized surface for a secure grip. The grip also features an integrated SSD holder for a Samsung T5 SSD.

Great tool for running focus motors

I use this with a Sony FX3, Tilta Nucleus Nano 2 and focus motor. Battery lasts pretty much all day event shooting powering the wheel and motor. I do wish it could talk to the camera successfully. I have never been able to get that to work. I also wish the second USB port was useful. I haven't found anything that can be powered by it and the sony should be able to talk to it but I can't seem to get that to work either. From a power perspective it works but it WILL NOT power your FX3 which is a bit silly in my opinion. The strap is nice and does help me run longer with it. The ergonomics of the grip is really good assuming you have large hands. I typically wear L/XL gloves.

The Tiltaing Side Focus Handle Type III (NP-F970, Tilta Gray) (B&H# TIASFH397G) would not be an ideal choice for the Tiltaing BMPCC 4K/6K Cage Advanced Kit (Black) (B&H# TIAT01AB). Rather, for the Tiltaing BMPCC 4K/6K Cage Advanced Kit (Black) (B&H# TIAT01AB) we would recommend the Tiltaing Side Focus Handle Type I with T5 Holder (F970, Tilta Gray) (B&H# TITASFH197G).

Not that we are aware of. This is designed specifically to hold a Samsung T5, which has a different body design.

No, Samsung's T9 Portable SSD is larger and would not fit in the Tilta Side Focus Handle Type III (NP-F970, Tilta Gray).

This is designed specifically to attach to the cages that Tilta offers for the Sony a7/a9, Canon 5D and Panasonic S1 cameras, not the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K. For the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K you need BH #TITASFH197G which has the proper connection for the cages for those cameras. https://bhpho.to/2EHNYWH
