Godox SA-07 Reviews

Functional but a little awkward

These work great as shutters (opaque, etc.) but the way you use them (wedging them into place with all four in the same slot) is less than ideal. Adjusting one without modifying the others is impossible, and they can move when you're adjusting the light itself.

Need longer handles

My thoughts on the SA-07 Godox framing shutters for the Godox Projection unit SA-P. There are four non-magnetic metal shutters. Each shutter has a handle with a rubber tip for gripping with your fingers. The shutters are inserted into the Godox projector, and manipulated by the user to create any straight line, light shape possible with one, two, three, or all four shutters. The shutters used with SA-P unit, are held in place using a double ring (one fixed and one adjustable) in conjunction with 3 springs to compress the rings. Think, like a sandwich, with the shutters in the middle. The compression of the springs can be strong, making adjustment difficult. Therefore, I dismounted the unit from the Godox S-60 light I was using, and adjusted the shutters off the light stand holding it in my hands, mounted the unit, and made minor final shutter adjustment on the light stand, while watching the light beam projected. My rubber tips came off when adjusting the shutters in the SA-P projector. They are attached to the shutter blade with friction. Suggestions: design the shutters with longer handles and glue the rubber grips so they do not pull off. I give this product a GRADE B, using the U.S. school grades A-F system.
