I Bought This Case Because I Wanted To House A Fractal Audio Axe FX III With A Fryette LXII Stereo Tube Power Amp Along With My Furman Rack Power Conditioner. First Off, I Was Looking At Other Brands Which Are A Modern Plastic And They Were Mostly Worthy Of Doing The Job, They Are In My Opinion Ugly But Also Cost A Boat Load Of Cash!! Appearance Is Suggestive Though. I Prefer This Style. In The Past I Have Ordered These Types Of Rack Cases And Often They Are Shipped More Unprotected And When Received I Have Noticed That The Aluminum Cuts Are Sloppy And It Has Sloppy Work As I Can See Plywood Inside The Rack At Certain Spots. This Rack's Price Cost Me $260.45 The Plastic Jobs , Ugly, Cost $5,7 9, 11 Hundred Bucks! This Rack Arrived In Two Cardboard Boxes With Plastic Ends For The Corners Inside The Second Box. Also Wrapped In A Plastic Bag. 3/8s Plywood Absolute Clean Showroom Finish! I Was Quite Delighted. My Gear Fit Perfectly. I Seemed To Have Trouble With The Screws Provided As They Seemed Like A Larger Size Actually So I Used My Black Rack Screws With Plastic Washers That I Used On My Last Rack. They Fit Snug Because Of The Black Coloring But I Backed Them Out And Work Them Carefully And They Then Went All The Way In Nice And Snug. If I Ever Need Another Rack I'll Look At This Company First! Highly Recommended!

Solid, seemingly indestructible

This is a road case built for the road. The clasps are sturdy, the box is well made. I can imagine dropping the case off the top of a building and it not being dented. Haven't tried it yet, though.
