Does exactly what it says on the tin

Works well, but 4k supported only on 1 channel

This product is straightforward to use. I was quickly able to replace an old legacy DVR and re-use the coax cable runs in my house and 4 existing cameras. I could plug in this device to my network and connect with Synology Surveillance Station NVR. However, the Axis website refers to this as a 4k video encoder but I couldn't get it to work. After talking to support I was pointed at the user manual which states that only a single channel supports 4k, and one of the others is disabled when you use it. It is very misleading to call this a 4-channel 4k product since you can only use 1 channel with 4k! To their credit, the B&H website makes no claims about 4k capabilities in their description of this product, which is great. Beware if you are coming here after researching this product elsewhere referred to as a 4k 4-channel video encoder.
