The tailcap switch also requires a specific handgun-flashlight hold that some find uncomfortable to properly activate the light. This replacement moves the switch to the side of the tailcap and slightly recesses it. Having the switch on the side allows you to hold the light with your whole hand in a more natural grip, giving you flexibility in shooting style and providing protection against accidental activation in critical situations. The switch retains the full functionality of the light providing both momentary and constant-on operation.
