Fit and finish appears to much like other Canon lens hood I own. The hood is a good value compared to the Canon version. I would buy again.

Have not been able to get this hood on RF-S 18-45 lens. Afraid to twist it too hard. What's the secret?

Yes, the Vello LHC-EW53 Dedicated Lens Hood is compatible with the Canon RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM although the fit is quite tight.

Will this hood fit the Canon RF-S 10-18mm lens? I cannot find a Vello EW-53B version hood.

No, the Vello LHC-EW53 Dedicated Lens Hood, BH #VELHCEW53 model would not work for the Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens (Canon RF), BH #CA101845IS. We do not have an alternative that would work at this time.
