The 5.1" tall, Arca-type compatible Full Precision Controlled Geared Head from Cambo has all the same movements as a ball head, but with geared movements that you can move in precise increments to position your camera exactly where you want it. With cameras weighing up to 13.2 lb, you can laterally tilt the 2.8 lb head from -110 to +30° and pivot between the same ranges of -110 to +30°. At the same time, it has two rotations on the top and bottom of the head. All the movements are geared except for the bottom rotation, which is free-moving and manually controlled. The geared movements can also be disengaged to move freely, but you can add tension to the movements as well. Four bubble levels located on the top and the bottom of the head are provided to ensure straight horizons every time you situate your shot.

Very well built. Made in Holland and not China for a change lol. Slightly on the heavy side but very solid. I rather carry 1-2 lb extra but know I have a rock-solid tripod & head. The knobs are solid too. The fine adjustment knobs are not as consistently smooth when you rotate them. In some areas, it gets slightly harder than easier to twist. VERY slightly though. I'm just being very picky here. I used RRS BH-55 for many years and one of the reasons I moved away from a ball-head is because of the tone-tuning abilities when it comes to composing for landscapes. I would recommend this product even though I got it just now and need to test it in the field. thank you
