Jerry Hughes Photography Lens Visor Adjustable Lens Shade
Key Features
  • Improve Contrast, Clarity, and Color
  • Oversize Visor Provides Greater Coverage
  • Moves with Lens While Zooming
  • Includes Touch-Fastener Mounting Strap
The generously sized Lens Visor Adjustable Lens Shade from Jerry Hughes Photography provides a much greater and more flexible level of protection against lens flare than limited, conventional lens hoods. Even a small amount of lens flare robs your image of contrast, clarity, and color saturation. Regular lens hoods don't have enough depth to fully shade the front of a lens during the best time of day for lighting—when sun is close to the horizon—and they don't have the ability to be placed anywhere but in the neutral centered position. Thanks to the simple yet clever touch-fastener attachment design, the Lens Visor can be placed in any position around the barrel of the lens and at any angle. The soft yet rigid plastic visor can be pressed into custom positions and will pop back into shape when released. Because it is attached to the lens, it moves as the lens moves and as the camera moves. Control where the shade falls on your lens and increase the range of available camera angles at your disposal, from sunrise and golden hour shots to backlighting.

Designed by a professional portrait and event photographer, the Lens Visor is made with pride in the USA.

Lens Shade Provides Greater Coverage
The generously sized visor provides much greater range of shaded coverage than conventional lens hoods and works with almost any lens
Easy Touch-Fastener Attachment
The included self-adhesive touch-fastener strip allows the Lens Visor to be attached anywhere around the lens, providing lens shade regardless of where the light comes from. And because you're not limited to lens threads or hood bayonet mounts, it can be positioned for wide, normal, and telephoto lenses—truly one-size-fits-all
Versatility and Flexibility
Useful for still and video cameras, DLSRs, and mirrorless cameras. The rigid but pliable soft plastic construction can be hand positioned to cut into stray light paths and retain its shape
Reversible Rain Cover
Even useful on rainy days when flare from the sun is not a problem, the Lens Visor can be attached in reverse and acts as a protective shield for light rain or snow

Jerry Hughes Photography LENSVISOR Reviews

Unknown adhesive

Included with this item are: No instructions. No warnings. No guarantees. For myself, I will never put an unknown adhesive on my expensive lenses and shades without some clear information about its properties regarding removal residue, temperature extremes, possible interaction with cleaners, etc. If the adhesive is intended not to damage my equipment under a set of conditions, I would expect that to be clearly stated and instructions given for safe application and removal. Photo shows all that was included in the product envelope.
