Great for viewing many slides at once

This is an excellent light box for viewing many 35mm slides at the same time. One can easily view 70 slides at once (7 rows of 10 slides each) and up to 77 if you overlap the edges and place 11 slides in each row. The light quality is also good. I tilt the box slightly by placing wooden blocks along the rear edge which is easier for viewing slides while sitting. The viewer's metal frame extends above the flat viewing surface by a distance nearly equal to the thickness of the cardboard frame of a 35mm slide; this tends to prevent the slides from falling over the edge when the viewer is slightly angled. The back side of the viewer gets quite hot and elevation may also improve air circulation.
