Sleek and ultra-wide describe the 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lens from Tamron; a flexible wide-angle prime designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. This lens uses a modestly bright maximum aperture to achieve a svelte and lightweight profile that is ideal for everyday, walkaround shooting. Also contributing to its versatility is a half life-size 1:2 maximum magnification ratio and 4.3" minimum focusing distance for working with close-up subjects. An OSD stepping motor achieves fast and near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. Additionally, the lens sports a moisture-resistant physical design along with a fluorine coating to suit working in inclement conditions.

Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III Reviews
Very good.
Amazing.
Functional for many uses
It is Okay for a low-cost lens, but it does have issues. My copy is not overly sharp and there is color fringing at the corners. It also focus-seeks more than any lens I've ever had to deal with. I end up having to go manual focus when I shouldn't. If the autofocus is that bad they ought to put an MF/AF switch on the lens. But, what did you expect for the price?
Perfect low-cost wide angle lens!
Tamron in general is a good brand for lower-cost lenses, but this is a great option for not breaking the bank. The image is clear and the low aperture is great. It's a fantastic option for anyone who wants an e-mount lens for an affordable price!
Very basic lens
Lots of distortion, color and contrast is bad, and it’s NOT internal focusing plus the lens is very noisy when focusing
sharp lens! amazing.
i'm a wedding photographer and usually here wedding helds at home which inside area a small and need a wide angle lens to take a group photos..well this is the perfect one for me..and very sharp too!
VLOG/YOUTUBE MUST HAVE
I make fitness vlogs for youtube and this has been an absolute game changer for vlogging and getting a better look at things I shoot such as lifestyle shots, cooking, gym, outdoors etc. LOVE IT and highly recommend
Decent lens
This lens is built fairly well for a low costing lens. One drawback is that there is heavy distortion which will require some post processing. If you are not a professional landscape photographer, I think it's a fun lens that's worth carrying around. This is my fifth Tamron lens and their customer service has always impressed me.
Solid prime lens
Impressive images from a lens in this price range. Sharp and good contrast even at f2.8. The weather seal is also a great feature. Although the close up feature is good it's hard to avoid your own shadow with a lens of only 20 mm. Along with a 50 mm lens this makes a very compact and light outfit for street photography.
