Celestron 93612 Overview

The Celestron Ultima Tripod is the ideal support system for many of your favorite outdoor activities from bird watching to stargazing—whether you use a camera, binocular, astronomical binocular, spotting scope, or smaller refractor.

This aluminum tripod comes with a two-way pan/tilt head outfitted with a precise panning handle, a lock to hold the head in place, and a tension adjustment. Together, they make movements smooth when you're finding and tracking your terrestrial subject or astronomical object so you can lock it down and make detailed observations. A quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 threaded stud makes attaching and detaching your equipment quick and easy. Built with three leg sections, it extends from a minimum working height of 28" to a maximum of 68" with an extendable 27" center column. The column features a ballast hook on the bottom to hold a counterweight or pack that adds stability and vibration suppression by lowering the center of gravity. Weighing under 5 pounds, the tripod can hold up to 8.8 pounds of gear steady, so you can capture crisp details with a camera and lens or digiscoping through your spotter or binocular.
