I really like using this microphone on my R5. I like that it is powered by the camera and doesn't rely on AA or AAA batteries. It produces pleasing audio for the run and gun work that I do. The wind screen works really well too. I highly recommend this microphone.

The sound with this mic is tinny and noisy. It absolutely ruined my latest video. Don't walk, RUN AWAY!

The Canon DM-E100 Directional Microphone will fit on the shoe mount of the Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Camera, but the T6 does not have an input for an external microphone so you would need to connect it to a separate audio recorder. However, if you have the Canon EOS Rebel T6i camera, then you would be able to connect the DM-E100 microphone since the T6i does have a dedicated input for connecting an external microphone.

The Canon DM-E100 Directional Microphone is compatible with any camera that has a 3.5mm microphone input that is capable of supplying plug-in power. As such, any list of all compatible models would be excessively long and ultimately unhelpful.
