Great Quality and Fits The Kit
I have a bunch of edelkrone gear and needed something that could easily transport my set up when shooting outside my studio. This bag easily holds the slider v5 pro, head plus v2, slide module, v mount power module, v mount batteries, with more room for my mirrorless camera, lens and filters. I'd say the only flaw here is the zippers. They feel like they might break if I pull them too hard. Otherwise this bag is good quality and gets the job done.
Fits the Slider Pro, little wonky at times
The bag works well for short journeys, not too much walking. I purchased it because it is the only bag I own that fits the slider. However, the bag is a bit wonky at times.
Hands down the worst equipment bag I've ever owned
I was eagerly awaiting the release of this backpack because I've owned Edelkrone slider gear for years but didn't have a dedicated equipment bag to carry it around. The long slider is too long for just about every camera bag out there, so I was really happy that they were finally releasing their own gear bag to accommodate the needs of their users. Unfortunately, this bag fails in almost every regard. Let's start with the exterior design. There's one FLAT zippered pocket, and one flat open pocket. Pretty well useless for carrying anything other than paper or a phone. You would think they'd designs something to carry accessories or batteries, but nope. There are straps on one side to carry a tripod, but no other pockets at all on the outside. And here's the most frustrating part - there is only one hand strap (with very poor ergonomics) on the back of the backpack. So you pretty much always need to be carrying this on your shoulders. It's extremely frustrating when you just want to pick the bag up and move it a few feet. Sure, the shoulder straps are great for long distances, but the design is extremely awkward. Moving on to the inside - again we only find flat pockets. What?! Doesn't Edelkrone realize that not all camera accessories are flat, and perhaps we would like pouches or other secure areas to keep items like batteries so they don't flop around in the case? This bag feels like it was never tested by the designers. On top of all of this, the hefty price tag and lack of features means that I couldn't justify keeping this thing. I sold it at a loss and purchased a pelican case instead. It's upsetting because I actually prefer soft cases, and I loved the backpack straps for easy carrying, but the lack of interior and exterior organization, the awkward straps, and the relatively small storage space overall just wasn't for me.
Does what it needs to do
Good custom bag.
Cheap
Bought because it fits the slider, but the zipper is super cheap. Not broken yet, but I know the day is coming. Also wish the belt was removable because it is quite bulky. I cut it off.
Good but not perfect
It's the only bag out there made for Edelkrone sliders. Three things: 1. A bit expensive 2. Zippers feel a bit cheap 3. I wish you could remove the backpack straps so it's just a soft case Overall, happy with it as it fits all my stuff.
Get the backpack!
If you are purchasing an Edelkrone motion control system get this backpack. It makes it so easy to keep it all together. It fits the SliderPLUS V5 PRO Long with tons of space for everything else that needs to go with you on location.
Everything fits!
Everything fits! Unfortunately, this makes it at 39lbs. Good quality of all the construction especially the lift handle. Plenty of velcro dividers and bonus velcro elastic bands. The bag is up to the level of quality of all the hardware they make WIN!
