Studio Special Edition Vol. 1 Essential Orchestra from Vienna Symphonic Library is a collection of the most common orchestral instruments and articulations in a virtual instrument plug-in. The Studio Special Edition Vol. 2 library features chamber strings, solo instruments, and ensembles of woodwinds and brass, like the famous Epic Horns (8 players), saxophones, alto flute, small clarinet in Eb, and oboe d'amore, and keyboard instruments such as prepared piano, harpsichord, harmonium, and Vienna Konzerthaus Organ, and upright bass, acoustic and electric guitars (overdrive), and a new set of percussion instruments from Vienna's Synchron Percussion.

Vienna Symphonic Library Studio Special Edition Volume 5 Dimension Strings is a virtual instrument with a library that features five string sections taken from Studio Dimension Strings: eight first violins, eight second violins, six violas, six cellos, and four double basses. It offers composers and producers a production-ready string-ensemble sound with the outstanding ambience of Synchron Stage Vienna, great for film and game scoring, trailer music, or sound design.

The performers were recorded in homogeneous groups, capturing all of the human interactions and slight imperfections of a live performance. Multiple microphones were used including close mics for each player, giving you access to each voice of the ensemble separately.

You can quickly shape the sound of your strings using the included Vienna Synchron Player software, which offers an internal mixer, a convolution reverb, and flexible routing options. The instruments include: four trumpets, four French horns, four trombones, 4 Wagner tubas, and a low-brass ensemble (one tube, one bass trombone, and two tenor trombones). The instruments include transverse flute, baroque oboe, oboe da caccia, Ophicleide, serpent, cornett (zink), crumhorn, soprano recorder, alto recorder, tenor recorder, bass recorder, natural trumpet (in 3 different keys), natural horn (with 7 different tuning slides), and glass harmonica.
