The versatile Stackable External Diffuser by Elinchrom fits the front of the Rotalux Octabox, providing a layer of diffusion to the softbox output. The unique stackable feature allows additional layers to be added for increased diffusion. The border frame features touch fastener material to hold the accessory Rotagrid in place.

When I work in the field with the 69 inch, this helps reduce specularity when that is called for. It is more convenient than changing the speed ring to the indirect version - or using one of the indirect octas - and going back and forth. It does require more light output. I would not use anything smaller than a 400-500 w/s light for a rig set up that way. Makes the already gorgeous 69 inch octa more versatile.
