I'm always looking for the most watt hours for the lowest price and this was the winner. It's pretty big compared to compact v-mounts but that doesn't bother me. I just need as much power as possible and this delivers.

I'm using this to power a Blackmagic Studio 4k Pro

I'm using this to power a Blackmagic Studio 4k Pro camera. Could I also use the USB out to power a Blackmagic SDI to Audio Mini Converter? The battery says it's output is 14.8V, but the converter says it needs 12V. Would this blow the converter?

Yes, the USB-A output of the GVM V-Mount Battery with D-Tap and DC Outputs BV-160 would be regulated and should allow you to power the Blackmagic converter.

What is the difference between the GVM BV-160 (this battery) and the GVM BL-160-II?

Aside from the newer more sleek design, the GVM BL160-II V-Mount Battery with D-Tap and USB Outputs (10,400mAh), BH # GVMBL160II, also has a second USB-C power input that the GVM V-Mount Battery with D-Tap and DC Outputs BV-160 does not have. This secondary USB-C input is specifically intended to be used for charging the GVM BL160-II via USB-C chargers.

The GVM V-Mount Battery with D-Tap and DC Outputs BV-160 cannot be taken in checked baggage. However, with airline approval, passengers may carry up to two spare larger lithium ion batteries (101–160 Wh) in carry on. So, with airline approval, this can be taken in carry on.
