Nanuk 938 Overview

The waterproof, orange 938 Wheeled Hard Case from Nanuk has a 51.1L capacity and is made from lightweight NK-7 resin to protect your sensitive gear. The crush and dustproof case secures with a Powerclaw latching system and has integrated slide locks to keep it securely closed, even if dropped. The case features oversized handles plus a retractable handle and built-in wheels for seamless travel.

Automatic pressure release valve ensures the case can be easily opened, even after changes in air pressure that occur during air travel. Micro vents allow air to pass through yet prevent water from getting in.
Waterproof, custom-fit gasket resists deformation and fatigue.
NK-7 resin is UV resistant to protect against discoloration and material degradation.
Integrated stay prevents lid from closing while you access your gear.
Grooves on the front interlock with built-in feet at the base to allow stacking with other 938 cases.

Finally a case where I can store all my lenses. I have 935 cases, however I've always had to pack my longer lenses horizontally taking up most of the case resulting in very little room for the rest of my kit. With this case I can store most (if not all) my lenses vertically and still have room for the rest of my kit.

Good, But I Feel Like Pelican And Pelican Air Cases Use The Space Better

I'm Using This As A Camera Coffin With A C70 And A DSLR Cine Rig, Or Just The C70 Is Rigged With A Larger Lens. I Planned On Using A Trekpak Style Setup, But The Dividers Look Quite Solid And It Looks Like There Are More Than Enough Of Them. It's A Pretty Good Size And Shape To Clear The Top Handle Of A Cinema Rig And Either Fold Down Or Tuck In The Monitor, It Will Be Nice To Grab And Go. Most People Have Been Saying To Take The Lens Off For Transport, But I Think That's For Much Larger Glass Than I'm Using. The Dividers Sleeve Is A Little Smaller Than The Interior Of The Case, But I'm Sure It Will Reform When Filled With Gear. My One Initial Impression Is That The Exterior Clasps And Walls Are Thicker Than The Pelican Air Series - So You Get Less Interior Volume Per Exterior Volume - It's Something Like A 1/4 To 1/2 Along The Long Sides. The Handle Mount On The Bottom Also Seems Quite Thick. It Could Definitely Be Streamlined, But For A Sale Item It'll Work For Me, I've Never Seen A Similarly Tall Pelican On Sale, At Least For A While.

The Nanuk 938 Wheeled Hard Case with Interior Foam (Black, 51.1L) has exterior dimensions of 23.8 x 15.5 x 13.2" / 60.45 x 39.37 x 33.53 cm. The maximum for most domestic flights is 62 linear inches in either length, height, or width, but it is best to check with the individual airline each time you fly.

Unfortunately Nanuk 938 Wheeled Case with Foam (Black) won't fit in the overhead bin in most airplanes.
