Lens foot for Olympus 150-400 mm

Someone had posted that this Kirk lens foot would work on the OM Systems 150-400 mm lens. I needed this because I shoot birds etc and use a Flash Bracket so that I can mount the flash above the lens to avoid red eye. The foot on the OM lens only has a arca swiss cut on the bottom portion of the foot and in order to mount my bracket etc it needed to be cut on both top and bottom. This Kirk lens foot fit beautifully and am very happy with the quality and fit. Am so happy a fellow photog pointed it out

Not the best on the 600mm. Got rid of it.

The quick-release strap mount is way too far forward on this foot for a good balance with the 600mm GM. Also, the notch cut out of the dovetail around the mounting screws isn't ideal. With the balance point so far back on the 600mm with a gripped body and a teleconverter, this is exactly where you want to be clamping. The design of a FlexShooter head means its totally unusable with that cut-out, and other heads require careful clamping. In the end, I sold it and got the RRS foot instead. It has the quick-release strap socket in the right place, and the dovetail is continuous to the back of the foot. Problem solved. This is a rare miss for Kirk.

I hold thel lens with the body mounted all the time with the KLF, in addition to the large PD around my shoulders for extra safety. No discomfort while carrying by the KLF at all.

Hi does this replacement foot includes the 4 lens foot mounting screws like the wimberly one?
    Asked by: Ashok
Yes it comes with 4 screws to mount on the lens as well as Torx Key. Though I feel a bit overpriced, I've been using this for slightly over 2 years and I'm very happy with it.
