AVMATRIX VS0601 Overview

Switch up to six different HDMI and SDI video inputs while monitoring the program feed with the VS0601 Mini 6-Channel SDI/HDMI Multi-Format AV Switcher from AVMATRIX. Concert productions, events, houses of worship, virtual studios, educational institutions, and live sports programming are some of the use cases where the VS0601 could be utilized. Its portable form factor makes it a TV studio you can take anywhere and set up with minimal effort or additional equipment.

You can output multiview layouts via HDMI and SDI that show preview, program, and input sources, all on the same screen with configurable PiP functionality. The VS0601 features four 3G-SDI and two HDMI inputs that can be connected to cameras or other consumer or professional sources for switching up to 1080p60 video with embedded audio. You can also mix the audio using the analog stereo 2RCA and 3.5mm inputs and outputs along with the embedded audio.

Its interface features source and destination buttons and a T-bar for transitions and cuts as well as mix, fade, and wipe effects. It features a tally interface and emergency fade-to-black (FTB) functionality.

Simple and straight forward. I bought it so I could combine it with my pvs0615 utilizing the PiP up stream. I could then insert the game scoreboard on top of my high camera shot leaving the the 0615 for keying GFX and instant replay during LIVE productions.

It's a good video mixer. The fans speed up like a phantom jet upon startup for about 15 seconds for no apparent logical reason why. The digital and analog clock is only set at Pacific time and cannot be adjusted to any other time zone. Why? Other than that, it is slick... I love the fact that you can output any input via aux port.

Does this Switcher have pass Through Control? If I press Record on my camera I can Record on a Panasonic HMR 10 or a UMR 20, Does the Record trigger pass through?

The AVMATRIX VS0601 Mini 6-Channel SDI/HDMI Multi-Format AV Switcher does not offer recording capability. It would not be able to record from a connected camera unless you add an external recording solution. The Panasonic UMR20 does not show support for Autosensing recording.

With the AVMATRIX VS0601 Mini 6-Channel SDI/HDMI Multi-Format AV Switcher, when you press PIP, the PIP window appears and the PIP menu appears below for direct control No need to go to the computer.

Not directly, but once you add a capture device to your computer you will be able to record the HDMI signal from this switcher. The Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 is a great option for this. https://bhpho.to/3enanIU
