Profoto RFi Octa Softbox (3')

The Profoto RFi Octa Softbox is a light-shaping tool with a 3' diameter ideally suited to groups, portraiture, fashion shoots, or any work that requires the unique wraparound qualities of an 8-sided light source. The RFi softboxes are compatible with more than 20 different flash brands through a wide range of separately-purchased adapters.

High-quality fabric plus reinforced seams, edges, and corners guarantee a long lifetime
Color-coded and touch-fastening attachments result in hassle-free assembly and disassembly. Its size makes it a good choice for on location shooting and other work that benefits from a lightweight and compact form factor

Profoto RFi Speed Ring for Profoto Flash Heads

The Profoto Speed Ring Adapter for Profoto Flash Heads is designed to rotate 360 degrees for maximum creative flexibility. The speed ring features heat-resistant, painted, color-coded softbox pole sockets for quick assembly. It will fit both four- and eight-sided RFi softboxes, each of which have color-coded poles to match the speed ring.

Profoto Shallow Translucent Umbrella (Small, 33")

The small, 33" Shallow Translucent Umbrella from Profoto features a translucent design that allows light to pass through it. This diffuses the light and creates soft shadows. It is made of heat-resistant materials and the metal elements are surface treated to prevent rust and discoloration. Additionally, this umbrella comes with a fabric carrying bag for travel and storage.

Love Profoto! But…

Needed a larger soft box for my wedding photography. Had the 2’ one, this one is even better. Love the results already…HOWEVER…after one day of shooting, already one of the pins broke through the black cloth. Very annoyed right now. This won’t deter me from getting it again in the future but this HAS to be more durable than lasting for one day before the pins break through the material.

Chiming in like other reviewers have about the build quality. It's poorly made at best. Mine has had very light use for a short time and I take care of my gear, yet the rods have busted through. I have generic soft boxes that were dirt cheap that have lasted far longer than this Octa from Profoto. Profoto should be ashamed of this product.

As both systems use the same Profoto color-coded attachment system, yes, you may use the Profoto OCF Octa Softbox (2') on the Profoto RFi speed ring.

Do we know of the difference in quality( light quality and build quality) between the new OCF range compared to RFI?I know they are designed to be more portable but at what cost?I can't find any reviews online yet.Cheers

I had purchased the 2' Octa and it would not fit on the RFI speedring. I called Profoto and they informed me that any OCF product like the 2' Octa would need the newer speedring made specifically for the B1's and B2's.
