SHAPE STMC Overview

Add a monitor or other accessory to your camera or rig with this aluminum Friction Swivel and Tilt Mount from SHAPE. This convenient accessory mounts directly on a shoe mount and allows for the attachment of a full array of video accessories with a 1/4"-20 thread such as a microphone, light, or monitor.

Accessories attach via the 1/4"-20 screw thread on top, and the bottom features a shoe adapter. The shoe mount allows swivel and tilt operation, and the friction design allows the mount to be adjusted by hand. The side screws can be tightened with the included Allen wrench to adjust the friction when mounting heavier loads.

The unit is very well made, works well and well worth the money. the only caveat is that it takes A LOT of effort to tweak the tension on both access. As in you'd initially think you had a faulty unit. That said, once adjusted to the level of resistance to movement you want for your gear, it is solid at that tension level. Recommended.

The lower cold shoe does not unscrew as it is a cast part along with the central ball casing.
