The Baltic Birch 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera from Lensless features a 2" lens. Lensless Cameras are constructed of different woods. Each model has a tiny hole (1/64" or smaller) precisely drilled in the front panel. The shutter is simply a small hinged metal plate that the photographer swings up and down to begin and end the exposure. The imitated focal length is determined by the length of the camera. The format is determined by the size of the back of the camera, which accepts the film holder. Since it is designed to accept a sheet film holder, there is no need to load the camera in the dark.

I am looking into the Lensless 4x5 pinole to photograph Civil War reenactors. Currently shoot digital & post process to make them look authentic-ish. I know I will need film holders to preload before going out. My questions is with using the "direct positive paper" instead of film. Does it need any type of processing or is it ready to go like "instant film camers"? Trying to find a way to deliver images on site. Thanks.
Direct positive paper still needs chemical processing in a darkroom with traditional type paper developers.

Would this pinhole camera accommodate the LomoGraflok 45 Instant Back?
The Lensless 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera (Baltic Birch) is not designed to accommodate an instant film back, which may be too thick to fit--the length and height is compatible, however, so you may be able to fix the camera to fit the instant film back in some way.

does it accept paper or just film?
You can use paper of film when using the film sheet holders. Photo paper fits into the film holder. I use 10 of these cameras with the Toyo-View - 4x5 Sheet Film Holders (2 Pack) with middle school students.

Will this hold most common film holders? I see someone posted a link to a 2 pack for $100. I would like to try and limit the price if possible. Thank you.
Yes, any common 4 x 5 film backs will work with this camera. The way the holder on the back of the camera works, it should accommodate any slight fluctuation in your film holder thickness.

You will need a 4 x 5 film holder if you are going to use sheet film. Other wise you can simply use paper negatives with the included back that does come with this camera.A tripod is helpful too, but not required as it's easy to sit the camera on a table, or other flat surface for making photos.
