The Sony BP-U70 is a high-performance 72Wh lithium-ion battery compatible with select Sony professional video cameras, such as the FS7 (see below). I use this battery on a Sony FX6 camera and it stays powered for a whole 4 hour shoot on a live stream. Definitely worth the investment!

There are plenty of great 3rd party FX6 batteries out there, but I wanted to go with the original source for reliable camera power. I can shoot all day on this one battery.

This is a 72Wh battery with the FX9 having a 35.2 Watt Consumption rating. Under normal use you should expect to get around 2 hours with this battery.

No, The Sony BP-U70 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack would not work with the Sony PXW-Z90. The Sony PXW-Z90 uses NP-FV style batteries.
