    MultiCart R2RT reviews

    8-in-1 Equipment Transporter - R2 Micro is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 96.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little cart for easy hauling gear This great little cart is highly versatile, configurable as a flat bed (with or without front/back bars) or as a hand truck. When folded, is it small and light, and easily fits in the back of your car / van. When opened, it provides a great, easily transported mechanism for moving gear on location. I bought it for transporting photography gear, and it's a great and inexpensive solution. My only complaint is that as soon as a worked the knobs on the underside of the cart which are used for extend the size of the cart bed, the plaster outer coating on one knob snapped off. However, I emailed the manufacturer, and they immediately responded and mailed out a set of replacements at no charge, so with customer service like that, I am fully satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a Beast but can still fail. I have had my MultiCart R2 for over a year now and it has been great carried everything from location setups, to moving friends stuff to a new place. One of the support bars under the frame has broken off but no noticeable issues from that yet. The tabs on the screws broke off pretty quick but its still possible to tighten them, and there is a set you can buy separate but I just have not seen the need to as of yet. It is slightly smaller than I assumed, so the shelf add-on is not really useful unless you're a child's hight if you wanted it to second as a mobile desk. Overall it has done the job, but I will buy the larger version next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but smaller than anticipated OK So I received the cart. I know the description lists the dimensions. However when I actually got it, I was really surprised at just how small it is. I have a Sony EX3 in a Kata Pro Video Bag and it takes nearly the entire cart when at the smallest. extended I was able to add a milk crate full of cables and a dufflebag with a couple of parcan lights and gels and the cart was full. I then added a second row of camera bags and then laid 3 C stands bungee corded them to the cart but the cart was struggling to move. I removed the c stands and it was able to roll easier...however the handle to pull the cart is very short...lower then your waist line and makes without a pull cord awkward. I should have gotten the next size up, but I will say it's built good. A bit wider and maybe a bit longer and this cart is an epic win.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Great payload range and size, portable and easy to roll around. These are the great things. Not so great is extending the handles sometimes. They often get stuck and you have to pull the release in just the right way. But the big problem, and this could be a quality control issue, is that when my cart is in the shortest extension length, the extension lock on the left side of the cart prevents the left wheel caster from turning freely. I thought the caster was defective, but then saw that the twist lock was hitting the caster. So to prevent this I always have to have the extension open more than it's shortest setting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh, it's alright. The packaging was awful. It looks like they just tossed a bunch of stuff into a box without any thought. The paint finish was kind of sketchy in spots as well. My biggest gripe though is the cord thing for folding the bars in and out. It doesn't work. It'll pull one side in, but not the other so you end up having to push the bar in on your own. Rolls around pretty well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good cart just don't smash your fingers configuring It's a good small cart for a regular 2 man crew type of shoot. But use caution when changing configurations, as it will come down like a guillotine on your fingers, said the reviewer typing with one hand other hand bandaged.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best cart for the money! I purchased this cart to get my gear around in one trip when doing location work. From the first time I used it on a job, I was completely satisfied with its performance... especially for a cart priced under $100. It is sturdy and rolls very easily in tight spaces, even when fully extended. I loaded up about 150-200lbs worth of gear on it and it rolled effortlessly. When not in use, it collapses down very compact... you could probably even store it under a bed if you have to. Although I've only used it as a high-stack platform (with both end bars up), I like the different configuration options this cart offers. This cart would be a great little addition for anyone who is constantly moving there gear from location to location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with a Micro I move a lot of gear around and have used lots of carts and I love the Micro by MultiCart ones best. This R2 one is the smallest I've used and it works great. They easily fold down to a manageable size but can expand to hold a lot of gear! Check the sizes to make sure you get the right R model. I prefer the ones with the solid wheels. The air filled wheels might be a little smoother but why worry about a flat tire. Not sure why there are a lot of gardening references. I do a lot of gardening also but use a good ole wheel barrel. The Micro cart I use is for moving a lot of video equipment around.
