The compact LED Pocket Light from Smith-Victor provides a boost of light in a compact, on-camera form for your video or stills capture. This 56W-equivalent, 5600K light comes with one diffusion and one warming filter, a cold shoe-to-1/4"-20 mount, and a micro-USB charging cable.

LED Pocket Light features include six preset dimming levels and a rechargeable battery with a runtime of up to 90 minutes. Mount the light via its 1/4"-20 thread or use the included cold shoe adapter.

This isn’t a bad light for adding subtle effects to an image, such as enhancing a small subject in a macro shot or placing inside a book for a mysterious portrait. However the small size gives a very limited range and the individual LEDs are very visible so this can’t be used as a light table for film scanning. In short, a cellphone with the brightness turned up will probably be better for most situations.

The battery will last as described and very similar to the Apurture M9 but with no nice bag and daylight, white diffusers.
