FotodioX Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube Overview

Designed to be attached between a FUJIFILM G-mount camera body and lens, this FotodioX 48mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube allows the lens to focus closer than its normal minimum focus distance. By placing space between the camera body and lens, focusing distance is shortened and the effect of magnifying your subject is created. Extension tubes enable macro performance for lenses not otherwise able to focus as closely and are also suited for near-range portraiture.

Extension tubes have no optical elements, so they do not degrade the quality of your lenses. These extension tubes support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens, enabling autofocus, image stabilization, as well as camera-controlled program, aperture-priority, shutter-priority, and manual modes. If an attached lens is also capable of generating Exif metadata when used with a directly compatible camera, this Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube is designed to allow that information to be saved along with image files generated with a combination of the lens, the camera, and the adapter.

FotodioX Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube Reviews

Great for Close-up Work

I was quite disheartened to learn that Canon does not make extension tubes for its RF-mount lenses. I have several vintage lenses that I used for shooting close-ups, but couldn't use them with my Canon R5 camera. Then, I read about this Fotodiox extension tube and decided to try it. It works flawlessly! Although the extension tube has pins for automatic focusing, I use it primarily for manual focusing. The 15mm size is perfect for lenses up to about 100mm focal length. For longer lenses, Fotodiox makes a 35mm extension tube, but I haven't tried that one.

Very close for Macro with a Sigma 30mm Lense and the 10mm

These feel lightweight and a bit cheap, but no issues connecting or disconnecting and they do what they are advertised to do.

Purchased for my partners Zfc Nikon. She went out and practiced all Saturday afternoon - and the results, with a little practice are great. Solid connection to the camera and lens, no 'wobble' as other brands reviews had mentioned. Purchased the 15mm extension tube at the same time - similar results. She is having a blast.

I always wanted to do close up shots, and this allowed an affordable way of doing so. This worked beautifully with my 24-200mm kit lens and a Nikon Z5.

Very well done

Very well done, works perfectly with autofocus, honestly I was skeptical at the beginning but I had the chance to use it, and I'm happy with it. I'm using with my Fujifilm GFX 50sII and a 63mm. Obviously using a macro extension tube , you can't gather all the light possible.

How well do these tubes work with the Fuji GF 50mm? Is it possible to get a 1:1 reproduction ratio?
Asked by: Richard
The focusing distance on the GF 50mm lens on its own is 1.8 feet, so the FotodioX 20mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube for FUJIFILM G-Mount may bring the reproduction ratio beyond 1:1.

Can you use this with Nikon F mount 105 mm lens using FTZ adapter?
Asked by: Archana
Hi, using two different adapters together usually causes problems--you can mount the 105mm F-mount lens to the FTZ adapter and attach it to this extension tube, but it's doubtful that it would perform optimally.
