Countryman I2 Overview

The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Lectrosonics and Sennheiser SSM and SK 2000 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics and Sennheiser SSM and SK 2000 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Complete Control
Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.
Effortless Possibilities
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.
Polar Pattern
The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

What are the dimensions of the mount? I have ...

What are the dimensions of the mount? I have roughly 1.5" of space between the bridge and end of the string, and I want to make sure it will fit my violin.

The specific dimensions of the I2 Violin Mount in the Countryman I2 Violin and Viola Microphone Kit are not provided by the manufacturer, however, this mount should work well in your scenario.
