The Livecom1000 from ikan is a full-duplex, wireless intercom system suitable for film, theater, or production scenarios where communication is key. The system offers 1000' of transmission distance and operates on the 1.9 GHz frequency band.
The system includes a base station, four beltpacks, and five headsets, allowing five people to communicate with each other. The base station offers a 3.5mm connection for one headset, four USB-A charging ports, and a USB-C debugging port. Connect to another Livecom1000 system via the RJ45 port and you can combine two systems together if your team is larger than five people.
The base station can last up to 20 hours on a single charge of one (separately available) Lithium battery. However, the unit has two battery slots, so you can disengage one battery when it loses its charge without disrupting the system as a whole (it will stay powered from the other battery). This is a useful feature for mission-critical circumstances.
The four beltpacks have built-in batteries, and can each last up to eight hours. A multi-port USB-C charger is included, as is a power adapter for the base station, two base-station antennas, USB charging cables, and a hard carrying case to transport everything.

Is there a way to rack mount this?
Is there a way to rack mount this?
I would recommend a universal rack shelf and hook and loop tape. However, I recommend making sure the antennas are not inside the rack enclosure during usage for best performance.

Hi there, would this unit be allowed for use in Australia?
The Specds don't say which version of 1.9Ghz units operate in. As this unit is sold in the U.S. it is UNLIKELY to be allowed in Australia. ( There are rules set for the EXACT frequencies i.e. the U.S. frequency is v4 1920-1930 Ghz, Australia allows operation in !880 tp 1900).
The other Spec that must be considered is the allowable power level in different countries...
IKAN MAY manufacture for other countries specs, you could check with them.

Is the mic noise cancelling? How would they pick up band noise as they're playing live on stage?
The headsets for the Livecom1000 include dynamic microphones which are designed to pick up audio from close proximity. This means the microphone needs to be close to the person's mouth to pick up the sound of their voice and background noise from the band will not overpower the sound of the person speaking into the mic.
